Anytime Mailbox vs iPostal1 vs Traveling Mailbox
These three names dominate comparison posts. They are not the same machine. Anytime and iPostal1 are large networks of other people’s stores. Traveling Mailbox is a scanning operation with a published home base in Sanford, North Carolina. Pick the operating model first, then the logo.

Anytime Mailbox — widest shop network, least uniform bill
You pick a real store. That store’s owner sets the plan and the a-la-carte fees. The platform gives you the app, notifications, and (they say) unlimited online storage. Check deposit is not universal. Good fit if you need a specific city, want to pick up a package, or want the lowest advertised door price. Poor fit if you need one national price list. Their own FAQ warns that LLC and bank use is not guaranteed.
iPostal1 — most addresses, plan names that include “business”
Personal plans start at $9.99 and, they say, do not include a company name (up to six recipient names). Business plans start at $14.99. Virtual Office adds phone and fax from $39.99. Roughly 90% of locations are “Standard” in their FAQ; Select, Premium, and Prestige add $10 / $20 / $30. Included with mailing plans: exterior pictures, 30-day storage for ordinary mail, discard, consolidation of letters, real-time shipping quotes in-app. Content scanning and forwarding are extra.
They publicly list registered-agent service as an add-on in a defined set of states, and they say not every location is an agent. If you need an agent, confirm that the location is the registered office. See registered agent + mailbox.
Traveling Mailbox — one price list, scan allotments, NC hub
Official plans (month-to-month or annual with two months free):
- Basic $15 — 40 incoming envelopes, 35 page scans, 3 recipients
- Extended $25 — 100 envelopes, 80 page scans, 5 recipients, scan rollover
- Small Business $55 — 200 envelopes, 180 page scans, 10 recipients, scan rollover
Overage they publish: $0.25 extra envelope, $0.50 extra page. Forwarding: postage + $2 per shipment, not per piece. Check deposit: $4.95 + postage. Package storage: first 30 days free, then $0.10/lb/day. Envelope hold after 30 days: $1/envelope/month. Free shredding. 10% military discount. They say they do not charge per open-and-scan request within the allotment.
Their FAQ: anyone in any state may use the service; “most people use our home base location in Sanford, NC.” If you need a Manhattan vanity line, this is the wrong comparison set. If you want to know the bill in advance, it is the right one.

PostScan Mail and VirtualPostMail, briefly
PostScan Mail publishes Starter / Standard / Premium from $10 / $20 / $30 with 30 / 60 / 120 items on the services page we reviewed, open-and-scan not included on Starter. Their support article “Does PostScan Mail Offer Check Deposit Services?” says no as of this review. Prefer that article over blog posts that still list check deposit. Support article.
VirtualPostMail owns its rooms. Five mailbox cities only. Free registered agent advertised with mailbox plans. SOC 2 Type 2 and HIPAA claimed on the pricing page.
