RV mail forwarding is a different product than a startup virtual mailbox
Full-time RVers and snowbirds need someone to catch USPS, hold it until the next General Delivery or campground, and often help with the paperwork that comes with a legal domicile in Texas, Florida, or South Dakota. The brands that have done that for decades are not the same as iPostal1. Scanning is frequently an extra. Domicile is still a legal conclusion about your life, not a SKU.

How this differs from Anytime / iPostal1 / Traveling Mailbox
- RV services assume you will forward physical mail in a bundle to a campground, marina, or General Delivery. App-first networks assume you will read scans and shred.
- RV services talk about domicile states by name. Virtual mailbox apps talk about LLC aesthetics.
- Traveling Mailbox still shows up in RV forums because of scanning and check mailing. It does not claim Texas/Florida/South Dakota domicile products.
Snowbirds who still have a house
If you keep a home in one state and winter in another, USPS Premium Forwarding Service Residential is a USPS product (weekly Priority Mail reship, enrollment fee + weekly charge; not from a CMRA; not available from a CMRA primary address). A snowbird who wants packages from UPS while gone may still want a CMRA. Do not file a USPS change-of-address from a CMRA — USPS will not process COA away from a CMRA; the CMRA must remail.
Checks on the road
Traveling Mailbox will endorse and mail checks to your bank ($4.95 + postage). RV forwarders may place the physical check in your next packet — slower. Many US banks’ mobile apps accept a photo of a check; that is a bank feature, not a mailbox feature, and the bank can refuse scans that look like copies. See checks and packages.
If you are an RVer who also has an LLC
Keep the registered agent on a real in-state office. Use the RV mail service for personal and vendor mail. Do not list a South Dakota campground CMRA as a Wyoming registered office. Do not assume South Dakota vehicle registration matches your LLC’s formation state — those systems do not care about each other.
